Now...A large but broken line of showers and thunderstorms will continue
to slowly track from east to west across portions of the northern
sacramento mountains and southeast plains through the early
afternoon. The main focus area through 230 pm will be found south
of a line from willard to santa rosa to ragland and north of a line
from ruidoso to mesa to portales. Due to the slow moving nature to
the storms...Heavy rain will fall. Expect some water issues
due to the heavy rain. Expect some ponding on area roadways
as well as some higher flows within low water crossing. Frequent
cloud to ground lightning and pea sized hail will also accompany the
stronger storms.
Elsewhere...Look for isolated to scattered shower and thunderstorm
activity across the sandia/manzano mountains...Portions of the
Estancia Basin as well as east central plains. Storm movement will
also be towards the west and heavy rain will be the main factor.
